ADDED DISCUSSION POINTS
- Sovereign communities across Canada do not have easy or routine access to Health Canada Medical Marijuana. We need to ensure Sovereign Nation leadership’ across Canada have routine access to family affordable Health Canada approved Medical Marijuana products, made available in bulk, to all sovereign communities, to help better serve all member’s dealing with addiction, and mental health issues. We need to find the way to replace a need and or want for karfentanyl, cocaine, and the wide array of other illicit drugs the black market dealers are selling and making available to the most vulnerable community members’.
- We also need in every home on sovereign lands, four Naloxone Kits in each home, based on an average of 300 Households per sovereign community X 4 naloxone kits per household. The reason for as many as four kits, is the poison the illicit drug dealers are pouring into all communities, and not just First Nations, but into all communities, and distributed to the most vulnerable is so strong now, it’s not just fentanyl, its stronger, where many illicit drug dealers are now distributing “elephant tranquilizer”, typically known as “Karfentanyl”, where it takes 3 and sometimes 4 naloxone kits alone to revive just one person from an overdose episode.
- How is possible that Health Canada does not allow Health Canada approved Licensed Producers to distribute and sell approved Medical Marijuana directly to Sovereign First Nations leadership, and or as directed by First Nations leadership ? For example, sold directly to each respective First Nations Community Health Department. How is that Health Canada Medical Marijuana products are not made readily available on sovereign lands, when governed by a Division within the Federal Government ? How is that even possible?
- Why does Health Canada push the added expenses of First Nations paying “retail” prices for Health Canada approved Medical Marijuana products, when First Nations could purchase Health Canada Medical Marijuana products directly from individual Health Canada approved Licensed Producer’s, at compassionate pricing, at a fraction of the cost the Ontario Cannabis Store and Health Canada Cannabis Dispensaries sell their retail products for ? Both are a shame and far from family affordable.is it possible that the Veterans of Canada have their Medical Marijuana Benefits paid for by a Federally funded organization, and rightfully so. However, how is it possible the original peoples’ of Turtle Island, that have been here since the beginning of time and have had a Treaty signed some 174 years ago with the “Crown”, and long before Canada was a country and or the province a Province, how is it possible Anishinaabek peoples’ do not have their Health Canada Medical Marijuana benefits paid for, know others do ?
